Sammie Sparks Obituary

Sammie was born September 21, 1928 in Johnson County, Kentucky, son of the late Tolvie Sparks and Zora Sparks. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his lifelong companion, Catherine, siblings, Homer Sparks, Ray Sparks, Ella Mae Scarberry, Mary Jane Wallace, Alice Scarberry, and Ivory Daniels.
He is survived by one brother, Kenneth Sparks of River, Kentucky and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 11, 2024, in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Arthur Scarberry officiating. Burial will follow at Sparks Cemetery, Lowmansville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2024, 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2024 and 9:00 a.m. until time of service Thursday, July 11, 2024 at 11:00 a.m.
Jones-Preston Funeral Home is both Honored and Privileged to be Entrusted with all funeral arrangements for Mr. Sammie Sparks.
