US Army Vietnam Veteran.
Preceded in death by his parents Rosetta Mae (nee McCrite) and Samuel Verble; siblings Mary Jane Gaudutis, Danny Verble, Jerry Verble, and Garry Verble; brother-in-law Paul Gaudutis; and sister-in-law Donna Verble.
Survived by is loving wife Frances "Franny" (nee Kreis) Verble; children Adam (Erica) Verble, Matthew (Elena) Verble, Andrew (Amanda) Verble, and Sarah (Martin) Livingston; grandchildren Avery Verble, Jonathan Snider, Emma Snider, Benjamin Snider, Samuel Gibson Verble, Grady Verble, Griffin Verble, Story Verble, and Sloane Verble; brother Terry Verble; and sisters-in-law Renee and Kathy Verble.
Sammy devoted many years to his career as a truck driver. When he wasn't working, he could often be found enjoying time in his garage. His greatest joy, however, was the time he spent with his family. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St Jude Children's Research Hospital
Visitation Monday January 5, 2026, 4 - 8 PM at Hickey Memorial Chapel, 4201 147th St Midlothian, IL 60445. Funeral Service Tuesday January 6, 2026, 10:30 AM at Hickey Memorial Chapel. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.

Very sorry to hear of Sammy's passing. I am grateful for his service to our great country!
P.S. I have a Paul Gaudutis in my family; he is my uncle. My father is Donald Gaudutis. They had a sister, Madeline, who passed in the 90s, and there is a Jeanette and her daughter, Colleen, also in the family. I guess we are distant relatives!
