Top of the day to you, and how are you doing today?
Who me? Well... I use to say that I’m fair to middlen, next to rotten. I’m feeling more rotten than fair to middlen. I had the privilege of traveling the world a couple times thanks to the United States Navy. My journey was not over though because my Commander in Chief had one more relocation order for me. On 23 June 2025, I was called back home…
So, I am sharing my story....My life started 25 January 1955, but I started living in 1978, you see; my ship, U.S.S. Tripoli docked on the Philippines coast line. Getting off the ship for some R&R, I seen this BEAUTIFUL woman. People say love at first sight doesn’t exist; I’m an example that it does. We married each other before the week ended, Mrs. Saturnina Wells, my wife. Our love flooded like a typhoon, you see over there they call them typhoons and cyclones; we call them Hurricanes and Tornados. That was 22 June 1978, 47 years strong.... that’s why I said started living. She made me whole, it may be till death do we part for most, we are different than most.. FOREVER is what we said.
I got out of the Navy in Norfolk, Va., in 1980. We continued living in my home state Virginia ever since, setting down in Bum Fu*& Egypt, this town called Huddleston. We had a couple rug rats; my hard headed son Samson was first. I taught him all that I could to be a well rounded man. Even though it took what seemed a lifetime, I can say, he took things I taught him and sharpened and shaped into what I can call a man. It could be because of Becca, finally a woman that can keep him straight. She is the best he has ever had. They both had one child each. My sons daughter Serenity and their daughter Kaleis. My beautiful daughter Carmela was our last. She was always daddy’s girl, I’m so proud of her. She had a few dead-beat boys in her life, but she did her absolute BEST to raise her two children with hardly any help from those boys. Her first child is Kadin, which went into the Army, is now out and living in Texas. Her second child is Camryn; she is still living in Virginia. She works making my favorite food… BBQ MEAT... which brings me to her husband... I forget his name sometimes, but he smokes meat GOOD, oh yeah Robert is his name. He had two children from a previous egg donor. His first Austin, he now lives in Floyd, with his own family. Robert’s second is Brenden (I think) he is still in school at the moment. Robert and Carmela are a great fit. I told him if he hurts her, he will have to answer to me…I don’t think I’ll ever have one issue, he is a good man, especially his BBQ.
Well... I guess that’s about it for me… I want to thank everyone that remained family. We could be related by blood, but that doesn't make you family. Thank you, Daniel, for staying close to Samson and Carmela! I need to go now. Never GOODBYE, it’s see ya later. I hope you a great rest of your day... and a better one TOMORROW!!
