Sam grew up in the Hobe Sound area and loved the ocean where he could fish and surf. He graduated from South Fork High School.
Samuel worked many years in land surveying. Most recently he was pursuing his passion in sales in the financial industry.
Earlier this year he had reconfirmed his faith in the Catholic Church and was Baptized at St. Christophers Church.
He will be remembered for his gentle caring and thoughtful nature as well as his continuous desire to help anyone he encountered.
Sam was extremely focused on developing his career in Financial Sales.
He will be deeply missed by many.
He is survived by his mother Lisa A. MacPherson and her husband Robert Schweitzer of Hobe Sound, FL; father Jan M. Berkowitz and his wife Adrienne Berkowitz; siblings Kyle Berkowitz, Falyn Berkowitz, Stacy Arenstein, Elena Berkowitz and Asher Berkowitz.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Christophers Catholic Church in Hobe Sound on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 11:00 am followed by a Celebration of his life at the Church.
