Samuel Edward Burke

Samuel Edward Burke, Jr. passed peacefully on January 24, 2025 in a local health care facility. Sam was born in Chattanooga on July 13, 1942. He was a graduate of Kirkman High School. He spent his career in Kroger Foods management. His passion was photography and painting.
Sam loved the simple things in life, spending days on his houseboat or visiting the mountains of Eastern Tennessee and Western North Carolina. Sam never met a stranger. He could have hour long conversations with someone he just met. He was never without a pet cat.
Sam was predeceased by his father, Samuel Sr.; his mother, Pauline; and his younger brother, Mike Burke.
He is survived by his daughters and husbands-in-law; Kathy and David Booker, Mikki and Tim Brown, and Lucia and Mike Dishmon; and his grandchildren: Mary Beth Lucheon, Emily Webb, Will Booker, Shelby Brown, Bailey Dishmon and Kate Dishmon; and great-grandchildren, Natalie Booker and Evie Lucheon.
We love and miss you Pop Sam.
