Samuel J. "Sam" Fiore

Samuel "Sam" J. Fiore, 78, of Enfield, CT passed away on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at Hartford Hospital. He leaves behind his loving wife Cynthia L. (Adams) Fiore of 14years. Samuel was born on May 3, 1947 in Springfield, MA and was predeceased by his parents Salvatore Fiore and Anna (Sferrazza) Fiore, his brother Ralph (Butch) Fiore, and his first wife Margaret A. "Peggy" (Ehrhardt) Fiore. Sam also leaves behind his two stepchildren, Bryan Francis of Sturbridge, MA and Lisa Brainerd & husband Lawrence of Blandford, MA. Sam and Cynthia have four grandchildren; Conner, Bradley, Penelope & Charlotte, along with several cousins and friends.

Sam was a 1965 graduate of Enfield High School & Morse College in 1967. He was an avid coin collector, enjoyed cooking, traveling, entertaining and making memories with his grandchildren. Sam leaves behind many cherished memories shared with family and friends. He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, the Model A Ford Club of CT, and Army National Guard. Sam was formerly employed with the Town of Enfield, Combustion Engineering and retired in 2006 after 13 years as owner and operating Sam's World of Wide Shoes.

Per Sam's request there will be no waking hours. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at 1:00 pm in St. Patrick King St. Cemetery, Enfield. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
