Samuel J. "Sammie" Moore

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Samuel John Moore of Port Allen, LA. Samuel passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at the age of 30. He was born on September 29, 1992, to George Moore, Jr., and Dana Lemoine Trewman. Sam spent most of his life never meeting a stranger. He always had a love for hunting and fishing. Sam enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. Sam, Sammie, Samuel, Lil Sam; he was known by many names and although he fought many hidden battles to know him was to love him. Sam always knew how to make you smile. He was known to be the life of the party, from singing to dancing to cracking a joke to getting dressed up and enjoying himself at a parade. Sam was survived by his son, Carter John Moore; father, George Moore, Jr., brothers, George Moore, III and Cody Lemoine; aunts and uncles, Mae Perritt and husband Wayne, Millie Roshto, Tommy Moore, Betty Lou Moore, Kevin Lemonie and wife Megan, and Heidi Lemoine Veion; close friends, Elza, Mickey, and Daquan Washington and Shanay Landry; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and cousins. Preceded in death by his mother, Dana Lemoine Trewman; stepfather, Albert Trewman; close friends, Jarrit Daigle, and Joseph Thibodeaux; maternal grandparents, Joseph and Jeanette Lemoine; and paternal grandparents, George and Elma Moore, Sr. Sam will be truly missed by all who loved him. Visitation will be held at Wilbert Funeral Home, Port Allen on Friday, April 21, 2023, from 11am until religious services at 2pm, conducted by Pastor Micky Hardy. Interment will follow at Grace Memorial Park, Plaquemine. Pallbearers will be George Moore III, Carter Moore, Randy Perritt, Jr., Wayne Perritt, Kevin Lemoine, Elza Washington, Tommy Moore, and Lil Wayne Perritt. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Wilbert Funeral Home to help with Samuel's funeral expenses.
