Samuel Wayne Moore was born on March 24, 1986, to Kim and Wayne Moore. He had two beautiful sisters, Alexis (Lexi) and Jordana (Jori).
His birth was a miracle, as we were assured, we’d not be expecting any more. But God had other plans, and we knew immediately that he would be a boy.
He quickly acquired the nickname “Brody” from his sisters who adored him and never stopped telling him what to do!
He was of a different spirit; gentle, compassionate, and always making unusual friends. He kept everyone’s confidences without shame or judgment.
As the years passed, he developed an eye for cinematography. He especially loved classic films and framed many walls with his favorite movie posters.
This led him to the New York Film Academy where he graduated with a degree in Directing. He then moved to Los Angeles and worked for two years in the film industry.
For someone who detested math in school, Brody had the savant-level skill of being able to recall the exact month and year of every event of his life. He loved learning something new every day about history and would daily provide us with a “did you know what happened in……” as a conversation starter.
Brody was dedicated and baptized at Word of Life Center, and his friends from his time in children’s church remained close to him.
Brody had a heritage of Faith. Generations of pastors, evangelists and missionaries preceded him to Heaven. We stand in that same faith, knowing that we will see him again.
We had Brody for 39 years this month. He was the joy of our lives and will be greatly missed by his beloved cat, Sabastian, and all his many friends and family.
A Memorial Service will be held for Brody on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Life United Church, 4425 Meriwether Rd., Shreveport, Louisiana. Interment will follow at Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery, 8801 Mansfield Rd. in Shreveport. Officiating the service will be Pastor Sam Carr.
