Samuel William Roberts

Samuel William Roberts, 21, of Fishers, IN, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2023. He had a sensitive and sweet soul, and a charming smile and fantastic wit.

Sam was born on May 13, 2002, in Decatur, IL, to Laura Dietrich and Robin Roberts. He attended Maroa Forsyth Grade School, then moved to Noblesville, IN, in 2011, and graduated from Noblesville High School in 2020. He had just been accepted into a Cyber Security program at Ivy Tech College. He currently worked at Goodwill and had the history of almost two years volunteering in the INDATA department of Easter Seals in Indianapolis, where he helped to prepare computers to be redesigned to be used for people with disabilities. Sam also has volunteered to help mentor newly arrived refugees with a local resettlement program.

Sam had several hobbies including composing and developing electronic rhythm and blues music, physical activities like swimming, running, and Krav Maga martial arts, teaching himself to play the keyboard, playing video games, and spending time with his friends, family, dogs Max and Charley, and cats Juju and Karma.

Sam is survived by his mother Laura (Parvin) of Fishers/Sheridan; his father Robin of Fishers; sisters Megan (Dylan) of Decatur, IL, and Erin of Indianapolis, and a loving group of aunts, uncles, and cousins, and one nephew. Proceeded in death by maternal grandmother Margaret Korwin-dePonzi; paternal grandparents Dr. Kenneth and Mary Roberts; and paternal uncles Dr. Kenneth Roberts, Judd Roberts, and Steven Roberts.

A Celebration of Life will be Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2024 at 4:30 pm, with reception to follow until 7:00 pm, at Flanner Buchanan-Oaklawn (Conner Suite), 9700 Allisonville Rd in Fishers.
