Samuel V Samuelian

Samuel V. Samuelian, age 96, of Medford Lakes, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on November 23, 2024. Predeceased by his wife of 46 years, Beatrice Virginia Samuelian (nee Donabedian), he is survived by his three sons, Thomas, Alexander, and Samuel Jr., 5 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
Sam was born in Pawtucket, RI, in 1928, to Vahram Samuelian and Manushag Vartanian, He served in the Air Force from 1951 to 1953 and went on to a career in aviation, graduating from the Academy of Aeronautics at LaGuardia. After a 33-year career with the Federal Aviation Administration, he retired from the FAA Technical Center in Pomona in 1984. A gifted mechanic and carpenter, he was "Mr. Fix it" to three generations of family, friends and neighbors, and he enjoyed working on cars, home remodeling, and cabinetmaking. In recent years, he was a regular at the Medford Senior Center, where he enjoyed playing cards. He was a long-time member of Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Church, Providence, RI, and active in the Masonic fraternity and Shrine. A devoted family man, he was involved in MLAA little league, MYAA football, DeMolay, and other community activities.
Relatives and friends may greet the family on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, from 2-4PM, at the Mathis Funeral Home, 58 N. Main St., Medford, NJ. Funeral services and interment will be held on Monday in Providence, RI.
In lieu of flowers, you may make donations to Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Church, the Medford Senior Center, or Crescent Shrine.
