Samuel Joel Serrano, 36, was born on February 18, 1987 in Las Vegas, NM to Jose and Barbara Serrano. He passed away on November 29, 2023.
Samuel attended Santa Rosa High School and went on to attend college at Highlands University where he studied Computer Science. He was a hard worker and a jack-of-all-trades. He had a diversified resume including working at hotels, construction, Dish Network, Comcast and Fed-Ex.
Sam, as friends called him, was a collector at heart and spent his free time finding the perfect additions to his array of shoes, sports cards, guns and video games, to name a few. He was an avid fan of the New York Jets, New York Yankees, the Denver Nuggets and Inter Miami CF.
But most of all, Sam loved spending time with his family and friends, who knew him to be a fun, caring and kind man. Sam was always willing to put his skills to work helping anyone who asked, whether it was dealing with electronic questions, TV connections, or the best way to purchase that “hard to get” pair of shoes.
Sam is proceeded in death by his paternal grandparents: Charlie and Angie Serrano, maternal grandparents: Amador and Alice Romero, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Sam leaves behind his parents: Joe and Barbara Serrano, his fiancée: Erica Romero, daughters: Samarah, Izabella and Lilu, who is expected later this month; his in-laws: Gilbert and Patricia Romero; sisters-in-law: Carla Romero (Anthony) and Jennifer Muniz (Ricardo); brother-in-law: Gilbert Romero, II; his nieces and nephews: Madisyn, Aria, Paityn, Jordyn, Izaiah, Preston and Carter, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.
