Samuel J. "Sam" Simone, age 83, of Hickory Hills; Beloved husband of the late Carolyn L. Simone, nee Martin for 55 years; Loving father of Susan (Dan Adcock) Simone, Terri (Pat) Lorenz, Lori (Larry) Haack, Patti Simone, Debbie (Scott) Zimmerman, Joseph (Amy) Simone, John (Regina) Simone, and Angela (Nick) Ochoa; Proud grandfather of 22 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; dear son of the late Anthony Simone and the late Theresa Simone, nee Infelise; Cherished brother of the late Anthony (the late Sharon) Simone; Beloved brother in law of Barbara Martin, Edward (Josie) Martin, and the late Charles Martin; Uncle of many nieces and nephews; dear friend to many; Founding member of the Palos Regular Democratic Organization; Proudly served as a 4 Term Committeeman Palos Township Democratic Organization; Proud Alum, Class of 1960, St. Rita High School; Sam had many interests and pursuits; Over the last 65 years, he owned Chicken Unlimited stores in Hickory Hills, Burbank, 63rd & Kedzie, the Godfather Lounge, Simone's Old Neighborhood, and Nancy's Pizza. He loved the Cubs and the Bears; He loved political campaigns and the many, many friends he made. Most of all, he was surrounded by the family he loved.
Visitation Tuesday, June 10, 2025, 3 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Lack and Sons Funeral Home, 9236 South Roberts Road, Hickory Hills. Celebration of Life Service Wednesday, June 11, 2025, 11 A.M. at Hickory Hills Presbyterian Church, 8426 West 95th Street, Hickory Hills; Interment private.
