Our hearts are broken as we announce the passing of Samuel Anthony Tramontana, Jr. At age 61, Sam, of New Cumberland, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on April 12, 2025.
Sam was a loving husband to Jen, a devoted father to his three sons, three daughters, and two bonus kids, and a proud PopPop who always brought the fun. He cherished time with family, loved watching, playing and coaching sports, attending sporting events, sharing his love of music, playing the guitar, traveling, enjoying good food, and pulling practical jokes.
Sam was preceded in death by his beloved son, Samuel Anthony Tramontana III; his father, Samuel Anthony Tramontana; and his uncles, Louis William (Bill) Tramontana and Anthony Samuel Tramontana. He is survived and deeply missed by his mother, Sharon Elizabeth Tramontana; his wife of 12 years, Jennifer Tramontana; daughters Kayla (Kory) Herber, Addison Tramontana, and Avery Tramontana; sons Benjamin Tramontana and Zachary Tramontana; stepchildren Terry Anderson and Paige Anderson; grandchildren Knox, Shea, and Bo Herber; Legend and Van Murrell; and Luna and Zen Anderson; siblings Antoinette (Michael) Donnelly, Lorri Tramontana, and Donna Bond; six nieces and nephews; and many other loving family members and friends.
Sam dedicated 10 years to DHL Supply Chain, where he built lasting relationships, worked with integrity, embodied a people-first culture, and always brought a sense of humor to the job. A leader in the business and a mentor to many, his commitment and warmth made him a cherished colleague and valued friend throughout his career.
Sam was also a proud member of Phi Sigma Epsilon at West Virginia Wesleyan, where he formed lifelong friendships and strong bonds of brotherhood that remained an important part of his life.
A visitation will be held on Friday, May 9, from 6:30–8:30 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Hummelstown, PA. A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, May 10, at 12:30 p.m., also at Zion Lutheran Church. In honor of Sam, we encourage attendees to wear their favorite sports attire or anything that reminds them of him. Lunch will follow the service.
The family requests photos and memories to be shared via https://tally.so/r/n0Aq5A for use at Sam's celebration of life.
