Dr. Sandor Dean Papp, Jr., 78, of Pittsburg, passed away at 11:50 a.m. Monday, September 16, 2024 at Via Christi Village.
He was born August 21, 1946 at Alexandria, Virgina to Sandor Dean Sr and Mair R. Rogers (Papp). He graduated from the University of Arkansas, before going to medical school and graduating from the University of Kansas Medical Center.
Dr. Papp was a radiologist for the Girard Medical Center.
He was of Presbyterian faith. In his spare time, he enjoyed bowling, playing softball, tennis and golfing and watching sports.
Survivors include, a son, Travis and Heather Papp and family of Hillsboro, Oregon; two daughters, Anne Ford and family of Castle Rock, Washington and Katie and Vinnie Scott and family of Pittsburg; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mary Beth Snyder.
A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday (Sept. 19th) at Mt. Hope Cemetery, 3700 N. Rangeline Rd., Webb City, Missouri with Pastor Adam Parish officiating. Friends and family are requested to meet at the cemetery. The family suggests memorials be given to the Alzheimer's Association. These may be left at or mailed to the Brenner Mortuary, 114 E. 4th St., Pittsburg, KS 66762. Online condolences may be left at www.brennermortuary.com. Arrangements are under the direction of the Brenner Mortuary, Pittsburg.
