Sandra Darlene Austin

Sandra Darlene Austin, age 83 years, passed peacefully at Norton Brownsboro Hospital on Monday, January 13, 2025. She was a native of Brooklyn, New York, had worked in retail, and retired as an executive secretary at Saks Fifth- Avenue. Sandra was a member of Third Avenue Baptist Church in Louisville. She loved to travel, especially to the Caribbean Islands; and she loved to cook for her family and friends and to knit and crochet for them. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 24 years, Gifford Bruce Austin Sr., and her parents, Ward Wellington Warner and Marion Teresa (Queen-Simon) Warner and her sister, Roslyn Kornagay and is survived by her children, Victor Robert Littlejohn (Lisa), Barry Alan Littlejohn (Falana), Marion Denise Austin and Gifford Bruce Austin Jr., (Ifetayo), her sisters and brothers, her six grandchildren, Gifford Bruce Austin III, Gavin Bryce Austin, Ayana Monifa Robertson, Shontelle, Sharice and Shanel Littlejohn and six great-grandchildren, Tyrone, Anaya and Jada and Bryson, Daniel and Ayla. Plans for a Celebration of Life will be announced later. Ratterman Springhurst, 10210 Westport Road has been in charge of arrangements. Cremation is chosen.
