Sandra Lynn Basco, 77, passed away peacefully, on 19 Jan 2025, at her home from complications of dementia. Sandy was a beautiful, wonderful, giving mother, wife, sister and friend. Sandy was born on 10 Aug 1947, in Battle Creek, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marjorie (Baruth) Tedrow, Lewis Edward Tedrow; and brother, Mark L. Tedrow.
Sandy took great joy in her children and grandchildren, they collectively were her world. She took joy in gardening, baking especially at Christmas time, and quilting. She took joy in supporting Secret Santa at the United Methodist Church by making blankets for all the children at Christmas time.
Sandra was a loyal employee of the Department of Defense. First, with the Department of Navy, then with the Defense Logistics Agency in Battle Creek, MI. She finished her career at the Defense Information Systems Agency in Columbus, Ohio where she accrued 37+ years of service supporting the Warfighter.
Sandra married Andrew Basco on 2 Aug 1996, in Battle Creek, MI.
She is survived by her husband; son, Matthew (Christina) Powell; daughter, Amanda (Larry) Rosenburg; brothers, William (Christabel) Tedrow of Austin, TX, David (Robin) Tedrow of Battle Creek, MI; cousins, Carol Engler of MI, Barbara (Mark) Baruth and Cecelia (Steve) Plummer of OH, Richard (Jeanne) Baruth of FL; nieces, Angela (Richard) Broun, Jodie Tedrow; nephews, Nelson Tedrow, George L. Tedrow, David E. Tedrow Jr., Lewis E. Tedrow; and of course her beautiful, wonderful grandchildren, Connor Rosenburg, Olivia Rosenburg, Lydia Basco, Leandra Basco, Vanessa Basco and Travis Basco.
Cremation has taken place and interment will take place at a later date at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, MI.
