Sandra Blackman Obituary
Sandy was born on December 22, 1956 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma. She married Terry Steven Blackmon on September 20, 2000. He preceded her in death in 2021.
She graduated from Sulphur High School with the Class of 1973. Education was most important to Sandy. She earned dual bachelor degrees in Biology and Cultural Anthropology, a Master's degree in Public Health in Genetic Counseling; and a PhD in Health Science Research without a dissertation. She also was a Certified Medical Emergency Technician.
Sandy worked as a nurse's aide, EMT, cook, and waitress.
She is survived by her children, Tommy Flick, and Sevena Cedarburg; brothers and sisters: Gary Saunders, Kenneth Saunders, Kelly Williams, Candy Fry, Daniel Saunders; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Sandy is preceded in death by her husband, Terry Blackmon; father, Harvie Saudners; mother, Shirley (Haney) Sharp; and son, Joseph Flick.
