Sandra J. (Faxon) Carleton, 80, of Groveland, passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at Portsmouth Regional Hospital.
She was born in Haverhill on June 10, 1944, daughter of the late George E. "Ernie" and Eleanor (Campbell) Faxon.
Mrs. Carleton was educated in the Haverhill School System and graduated from Haverhill High School with the Class of 1962. She worked for over 50 years as a Dental Assistant until her retirement.
She enjoyed traveling for many years to Europe and Bar Harbor, camping in her fifth wheel, as well as visiting cousins in Canada to make maple syrup. She enjoyed designing her home from tips she learned watching HGTV.
Mrs. Carleton is predeceased by her loving husband, former Groveland Fire Chief John F. Carleton, and sister Suzanne Elizabeth Swartz, and a great nephew Matthew "Mattie" Uliano.
She is survived by her son Stephen P. Baker and his wife Michele of Manchester, NH, brother David E. Faxon and his wife Linda of Glastonbury, CT, and her Goddaughter Robyne (Lavoie) Uliano and her husband Ronald of Atkinson, as well as her nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her calling hours on Monday, July 8th from 5-7 PM at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Bradford Funeral Home, 210 South Main St., Bradford. Her Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, July 9th at 10 AM in the Sacred Hearts Church, 165 South Main St., Bradford. Interment will follow in the Riverview Cemetery, Groveland.
