Sandra Kay Childers fell asleep on Christ on September 25, 2025, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. She was born to the late Robert Lee Childers and Nancy Marell Childers of Hall County. Sandra lived a life marked by compassion, devotion, and unwavering love for her family.
Sandra was the proud mom of four children, Michelle Blackmon (life partner, Allen Miller), Melissa Hall (spouse, Brian Hall), Candi Clark (life partner, Stacey Davis) and Dustin Bennett (spouse, Jodi Bennett). Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Daniel Lockhart, Brandon Lockhart (spouse, Rylee Lockhart), Autumn Blackmon, Isaac Blackmon; Tyler Kinsey, Kaylee Kinsey, Colton Bennett, Brelynn Bennett, Brooklynn Bennett, GT Dyer, Aidan Dyer, Brycen Dyer and Hunter Davis. She had four great-grandchildren Grayson Emmarie Dahl – Lockhart, Raevyn Lockhart, Layla Lockhart and Kaisyn Saint Jones.
She held a deep enduring love and spent many of her years with Dwight Wilbert Bennett. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Randy and Russell Childers.
Sandra’s heart was golden, and her spirit was gentle. She spent years as a nurse caring for others with grace and tenderness. Yet the role she treasured most was being a momma. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were her greatest joy, and she often spoke with pride about the loving family she helped build. Sandra was the heart and soul of her family – her presence in this family was always of constant love and devotion.
A celebration of life will be announced on Facebook™ by her children the week of September the 29th when a location can be determined along with a date and time.
The family kindly asks that any funds intended for flowers be donated to St. Jude’s Children’s Research hospital – a cause close to her heart.
Sandra will be deeply missed, but her love will live on in the lives she touched and the family she nurtured. She and her memory has been and continues to be a blessing and her legacy is LOVE.
