Sandra Conroy, born Sandra Lynn Sullivan on May 6, 1968, passed away on August 27 at her home in Cleveland, TN, after a seven-year fight with ovarian cancer.
She is survived by husband Paul Conroy, children Joseph, Thomas, and Margaret Conroy, all of Cleveland; parents Thomas and Margaret Sullivan of Knoxville, TN; sister Cynthia Davies (Glenn) of Brisbane, Australia; and many beloved nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and in-laws.
Sandra was born in Alamogordo, NM and raised in Knoxville, TN, where she attended the Webb School. After graduating from Rhodes College in 1990 and from the University of Tennessee School of Dentistry in 1994, she went on to practice public health dentistry in Tennessee and Kentucky. Afterwards, as a military spouse, she lived in nine states and became adept at integrating her family into new cultures and building solid friendships, particularly her Wet Hen sailing companions in Hawaii. Sandy was a gifted painter, a talented gardener and enjoyed hiking as well as her beloved terriers and macaw.
Visitation will be at 11 am on September 5 at St Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church in Cleveland, followed by Funeral Mass celebrated by Fr Mike Nolan at noon. Graveside service will be held at 2 pm at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
