Sandra Louise "Sandy" Davis

GREENFIELD – Sandra "Sandy" Louise (Ludwick) Davis, age 77, of Greenfield, passed away Thursday, January 1, 2026, at Hancock Regional Hospital. She was born in Winchester, Indiana on November 21, 1948, to the late M.S. "Lucky" and Margaret "Maggie" (Shively) Ludwick. She graduated from Thomas Carr Howe High School in Indianapolis in 1967. Sandy received her Bachelor's degree from Indiana Wesleyan University in 1999 and went on to receive her Master's Degree in Business Management and Accounting in 2004. She was married to James "Mike" Davis for twenty years, they got divorced and were partners until her death.

Sandy worked for Keihin IPT for twenty years, where she was a Quality Assurance Associate and a Keihin IPT Brigade Firefighter and EMT of eighteen years before retiring in 2000. Most recently, Sandy worked as a cashier at Kroger for over ten years before retiring in 2022. She enjoyed taking pictures, LOTS of pictures), traveling, fishing, cooking for the whole family, and visiting family when possible.

She is survived by her life partner, Mike Davis since 1979; children, Andrea Mayer and Gene Davis; grandchildren, Matthew Mayer and Shelby (Chris) Gandara; and great-grandson, Finnley Mayer. She was preceded in death by her parents, M.S. "Lucky" and Margaret "Maggie" Ludwick.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. Entombment will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis at 2:30 p.m.
