She was united in marriage on October 9, 1965 at Cedar City Baptist Church to Wayne Dawdy who survives at their home.
A lifelong resident of Jefferson City; Sandy and Wayne were charter members of Southridge Baptist Church and current faithful members of Concord Baptist Church. She was devoted to her Lord Jesus Christ and served Him faithfully.
Children were Sandy's passion; she was an in-home childcare provider for over 35 years caring for over 70 children.
She was a servant to her family and friends, cherishing times together with them. She devoted over 35 years in teaching children's Sunday School, enjoyed embroidering and craft work, and was an impeccable homemaker and talented cook.
Sandra is survived by her husband: Wayne Dawdy of the home; daughter: Sherry Fischer (Brent) of Jefferson City; granddaughter: Chelsea Fife (Will) of Jefferson City; grandson: Caleb Fischer of Parker, CO.; great-grandson: Nolan Fife.
She is preceded in death by her parents; one sister: Peggy (Rehagen) Dawdy; and brother in-law: Don Dawdy.
Her pride in her daughter, grandkids, and new great-grandson were immeasurable. She would happily sacrifice her own needs and comfort for others that she loved. She will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Sunday, December 11, 2022 at Concord Baptist Church. A Memorial Service will follow at 2 p.m. at the church with Bro. Monte Shinkle officiating.
Interment will be private for the family in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery - Hartsburg, Missouri at a future date.
In lieu of flowers; expressions of sympathy may be made to Concord Baptist Church or Hospice Promise Foundation in care of Central Missouri Hospice.
