Sandra L. Donohue, known affectionately as Sandee, peacefully passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Ellenville Regional Hospital, surrounded by the love of her family. She was 83 years old.

One of Sandra's greatest passions was baking wedding cakes. Her cakes were more than just desserts; they were symbols of joy and celebration shared not only at her children's weddings but within the entire community.
Sandra united in marriage with Bruce Donohue on October 5, 1958, embarking on a lifelong journey filled with love and cherished memories. Together with Bruce, they raised three sons: Bruce (Dina), Paul (Kareen), and Troy (Bertha). Her legacy continued through her adoring grandchildren: Bruce Jr (Raychel), Gillian, Kassandra (Brandon), Paul (Tabetha), Ian, John (Amy), Patricia (Elisa), Isabelle, Leroy and Merrill. She also leaves behind great-grandchildren Darrin, Kelsi, Kira, Timothy "TJ", Mia and Cameron and her brother George Schonger (Lois).
Sandra was predeceased by her brother Donald "Red" Schonger.
Throughout her life, Sandra was deeply involved in her community. She dedicated her time and heart to serve as a lifetime member of the Ellenville Rescue Squad, where she held the positions of Captain and Treasurer to name a few. Additionally, she graciously served as an Honorary member of the Napanoch Fire District, contributed to the Ellenville Public Library Board and Ellenville Hospital Board; she was also involved in the Napanoch Youth Commission and volunteered with Hospice. Sandra will forever be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering dedication to those she loved and her community.
