Sandra Darlene Guasco was called to her heavenly home on the evening of May 8, 2025, with her loving husband and son by her side. Born on November 13, 1960, in
Houston, Texas, she was the second child of J.E. "Buggs" and Wanda Threadgill. Her life was one marked by creativity, generosity, and a heart full of love.
Darlene was a woman of many gifts. She had an eye for beauty and a talent for bringing joy to others through her creativity. Whether it was crafting custom clothing, handmade jewelry, or unique home décor, Sandra's hands were always busy turning ideas into heartfelt treasures. She took pride in making things not just beautiful-but meaningful.
A devoted wife to Alex Guasco for 26 wonderful years and a loving mother to Jacob Sanders Guasco, Darlene's family was her world. Each year, she poured her heart into designing the family's annual Christmas card-writing a personalized poem and crafting a unique design that captured the spirit of the season and the love they shared. It became a tradition eagerly awaited by friends and family alike.
Darlene also loved to shop, always with an eye for detail and a flair for finding just the right thing. She was a fantastic organizer-whether it was a closet, a celebration, or a family gathering, she brought order and beauty with quiet determination.
But perhaps her greatest gift was the way she gave of herself. Darlene was the kind of person who was there for anyone at any time, day or night. Her kindness, patience, and willingness to help made her a true friend and a steady presence in the lives of many.
Left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband Alex, beloved son Jacob, loving mother Wanda Threadgill, brother James Wayne Threadgill and his wife Karen, and sister Carol Threadgill. She is reunited in peace with her father, J.E. "Buggs" Threadgill.
Darlene's life was a tapestry of love, creativity, and selfless giving. Though she may no longer be with us in body, her spirit lives on in the countless lives she touched, the traditions she started, and the love she gave so freely.
