SANDRA HOLT
Jacks Creek: Sandra Kay Holt, age 68, passed away December 1, 2024, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
She was born May 1, 1956, in Savannah, TN, the daughter of the late Hugh Ray and Helen Vernell Davis Lott. She grew up in Chester County and attended Chester County High School.
She married Johnny ‘Frog’ Record in 1980 and they had a son together. Mr. Record died in 1987.
She later married Thomas David Holt in 2000 and they made their home in Saltillo. He preceded her in death in 2014, after that she moved to Jacks Creek.
She lived a very full life. Primarily a homemaker, she also worked at Chester County Sportswear, Capp III, Salant & Salant, as a bartender at the Elks Lodge and worked for Harville Lures. She ran the Milledgeville Restaurant for a time and also worked at the Milledgeville Truck Stop.
She enjoyed boating and attending drag races.
She loved going to church and was a member of House of Prayers Church at Jacks Creek.
She greatly loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Holt is survived by two sons, Jeffrey Allen Howell of Jacks Creek and Jesse William Record of Jacks Creek, a daughter, Tiffany Renee Adkins (Dustin Morris) of Henderson; seven grandchildren, Samuel Webb, Matthew Adkins, Katie Morris, Atlanta Adkins, Bridget Fuller, Michael Howell and D.J. Holt; one great grandchild, Leonidas Webb; and one sister, Teresa Lott of Henderson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands and a sister, Glenda Davis Cardwell.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, December 6th at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Mike Cothren officiating. Burial will follow at Milledgeville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday.
