Sandra Mae Jarrell was born February 3, 1940 in Parsons, Kansas to Herman L. and Theresa H. Williams. She was the first child out of four children.
She obtained her Diploma from the State of Kansas State High School Equivalency and later attended Brown Mackie School of Business in Salina, Kansas. She later received her certification as a Special Education Paraprofessional from Labette Community Junior College.
She retired from the Parsons State Hospital and Training Center (Parsons, Kansas) in 1988 and Duval County School Board (Jacksonville, FL) in 2005.
Sandra was a member of Greater Macedonia Baptist Church where she served faithfully as a deaconess.
She married her husband, Johnny L Jarrell on September 3, 1971. Sandra was the epitome of a devoted spouse, exemplifying unwavering love, support, and dedication to her beloved Johnny "Jay" Jarrell. She was Johnny's constant companion, standing by his side through every joy and challenge that life presented. Their bond was a testament to the power of love, and her commitment to Johnny was unwavering until the very end.
Sandra was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny L. Jarrell; son, Rikke Mitchell; parents, Herman L. and Theresa H. Williams; and siblings, Anna Marzette and Wilbur Williams.
She leaves to cherish her memories children, Laura Coleman-Smith (Cleavon), LaShawn Jarrell, Raymond Jarrell Sr, and Andre Jarrell (Nicole) and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will also be missed by her brother, Lewis Williams, great aunts, cousins, and host of nieces and nephews.
