Sandra Karam

Sandra S. Karam, 80, of Bolivar, died Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at The Inn at Northwood in Dover. Born January 8, 1945 in Illinois, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Marjorie (Lupro) Waginske. Sandra was the founder of Simply Cinnamon in Bolivar for over 20 years and was the quiet force and heart behind Karam's Martial Arts, the school founded by her beloved husband in 1975. However, the role she cherished most was the raising of her six children. She was an active member at St. James Catholic Church in Waynesburg. She loved being outdoors and especially enjoyed the Wilderness Center in Wilmot. Her husband, Harvey Karam, preceded her in death on July 25, 2007. She is survived by 6 children Matthew (Audra) Karam of Arizona, Lisa (Wayne) Shaw of Magnolia, Marc (Julie) Karam of Canton, Bridgette (Steve) Neisel of North Canton, Adam (Lisa) Karam of Dover and Andrea Karam of Bolivar; 13 grandchildren, 1 great grandson and 3 sisters Julie (Rick) Waginske of Seattle, Patty Mihelis of Wadsworth and Susie (Bill) Hullihen of Canton. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson Beckett Karam and a sister Peggy Ransweiller. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, May 19, 2025 at 11:00 AM at St. James Catholic Church in Waynesburg with Deacon Dave Kenney officiating. Following services, the family will host a luncheon and time of fellowship in the church fellowship hall. The Lebold-Smith Funeral Home in Bolivar is handling the arrangements.
