CASTLETON Sandra Lober, 78, of Rutland passed away on the evening of April 23, 2024.
She was born in Rutland, Vermont on March 31, 1946 the daughter of Harry and Jane (Dyer) Kent.
Sandra (affectionately known as Sandi) graduated from Rutland High School and attended Castleton State College.
She married the love of her life John Lober on March 6th, 1965. The two moved to their forever hometown of Castleton, VT where they raised their family and happily spent their lives.
Sandi and John loved to spend their free time with their family and friends and enjoyed spending several weekends exploring campgrounds around New England and New York.
Sandi is survived by her loving husband John, her two daughters and their husbands: Tamitha (Lober) Howard and husband Joseph of Castleton and Kimberly Lober-Thomas and husband Matt of Hampton, NY, three grandchildren, Reilly Howard of Providence, RI, Jordyn Howard of Castleton and Conor Thomas of Hampton, NY
A passionate and proud member of the RRMC volunteer program for 14 years, Sandi loved nothing more than helping others and brightening the lives of those around her. Her greatest accomplishments in life according to her were her 59 years of being by John's side, becoming a loving mother to Tamitha and Kimberly, and becoming a grandmother to Reilly, Jordyn and Conor.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday June 16, 2024 from 2:00 to 4:00pm at Castleton American Legion.
To honor Sandi's love for animals, her family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Rutland County Humane Society, 765 Stevens Rd., Pittsford, VT 05763
Arrangements are under the direction of Clifford Funeral Home in Rutland.
