Born on September 16, 1943, to the late Daniel and Ruth (Morgan) Newcombe, Sandy was a kindhearted soul who touched the lives of everyone she met with her loving and faith-filled nature.
She devoted her career to serving others, first as a Safety Officer for the Boston Housing Authority and later finding her calling for over 20 years as a Dietary Aide at the Milton Hospital. Her work was more than a job; it was a manifestation of her caring spirit, as she ensured the well-being and safety of those around her.
Sandy's commitment to her faith was unwavering. She was a devout Catholic and an active member of the Secular Franciscan Order. Her dedication to St. Mary Church in Randolph was evident through her participation in the choir and her service as a Eucharistic Minister. Sandy's faith was her guiding light, and she lived every day in accordance with the values she held so dear.
Beyond her religious devotion, Sandy was known for her generosity and community spirit. She volunteered her time and energy at the Randolph Friendly Food Pantry, helping those in need with a warm smile and an open heart.
Family was the cornerstone of Sandy's life. She was the beloved daughter of her late parents, Daniel and Ruth (Morgan) Newcombe, and a devoted sister to Linda R. Carter and her husband Robert of Plymouth, and Gail Tapia Ruano and her husband Manuel of Miami, FL. Sandy cherished her role as a dear aunt to Daniel Carter, Lisa Chadwick, Alexa George, and Marissa Rosales. Her love for her family was boundless, and the times spent with them were the moments she treasured most.
Sandy's presence was a gift to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her loving and kind nature was evident in every interaction.
