Sandra L. "Sandy" Meatty

Sandra "Sandy" L. Meatty, a lifelong resident of Dover, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital. She was born in Dover on January 13, 1945, to the late George and Romolina (Rinaldi) Moriarty.
Sandy's working career was primarily administrative work, most recently retiring from the University of New Hampshire's Financial Aid Office. Known for her warm spirit and sharp wit, she filled her days with the things she loved most-travel, dancing, a good game of backgammon or cribbage (where her family fondly remembers her as "an assassin"), and spending time with those she cared about.
She was also deeply committed to her community through her volunteer work, giving countless hours to organizations such as End 68 Hours of Hunger - Dover and The Homemakers Health Services, where she made a lasting difference through her kindness and compassion.
Sandy is survived by her sons, David Meatty and his wife, Lauren, of North Dartmouth, MA, and James Meatty of Dover; her cherished grandchildren, Jake Meatty, Kaitlyn Meatty, and Kylie Ray; and many dear friends.
She will be laid to rest at Pine Hill Cemetery alongside her beloved parents on Friday, November 14, 2025 at 1 PM.
