Sandra F. Oldfield, 81, of Springfield, Illinois, formerly of Chandlerville, Illinois passed away at 5:22 a.m. on Sunday, April 28, 2024 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Illinois. She was born on May 21, 1942 in Chandlerville, Illinois to Donald and Wilma (Scott) Mibb. She married Lyle Eugene Oldfield in 1974 and he preceded her in death on October 28, 1998.
Sandra is survived by her children: Tim McCoy of Dawson, Illinois and Tresa R. McCoy of Bellville, Illinois, step-children: Bob and Rick Tolle, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and siblings: Phyllis McNeil of Virginia, Illinois, Russell Mibb of Prior Creek, Oklahoma, Mike Mibb of Sanford, North Carolina, and Mark Mibb of Manito, Illinois.
Sandra worked for many years at the A&P Grocery store, and then later at Montgomery Ward and Lowes. She enjoyed watching baseball and basketball, gardening, family gatherings, and spending time with her grandkids.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Panther Creek New Beginnings Church in Chandlerville, with a visitation one hour prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Pastor Jim Austin will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Mt. Olive Cemetery near Chandlerville.
Memorial donations may be made in Sandra's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Online condolences can be left for her family at www.hurleyfh.com.
