Sandra “Sandy” J. Docter, 83, of Fond du Lac, Wis. died on Friday, May 17, 2024, at Hospice Home of Hope. Sandy was born on May 22, 1940, in Fond du Lac, Wis. to Lawrence and Lucile Lapine. Sandy married Gordon “Gordy” R. Docter on October 10, 1959, at St Louis Church in Fond du Lac. Gordy and Sandy owned and operated Dr. Joe’s Bar and Beverage Mart for five years with their good friends, Joe and Gerry Luttenberger. Sandy also worked for Bestt Rollr for 16 years. Sandy belonged to the Eagles Aerie #270, Fond du Lac. Sandy was a kind and loving wife, a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and good friend to many. Gordy and Sandy loved to travel which took them throughout the United States and the Caribbean.
Sandy is survived by her three children, Bob (Judy) Docter of Greenville, Vicki (Steve) Gall of Cedarburg, and Mike (Amy) Docter of Fond du Lac; six grandchildren, Marty Docter, Harrison (Chelsea) Gall, Simon (Anne) Gall, Ashley (Greg) Schauer, Emily (Matt Patchett) Docter, and Aaron (Krystal) Docter. Sandy also had 9 great-grandchildren, Camden Docter; Delaney, Addilyn, Ryker, and Emalyn Gall; Skylar (Chloe Jaden) Blau; Peyton (Tim) Collins, Matthew, and Genevieve Schauer and 2 great – great grandchildren, Oliver Collins and Reagan Blau.
Sandy is further survived by a sister, Marlene Teletzke, of Waupun and a brother, Larry (Judy) Lapine of Fond du Lac. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, other relatives and friends.
Visitation for Sandy will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at 12:30 PM at Sacred Heart Church-Holy Family, 200 S. Peters Ave, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. Visitation will take place on Thursday at the church from 11:30 AM until the time of service. Entombment will follow the service at Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery.
The Docter family would like to offer a special thanks to the wonderful doctors and nurses at SSM - St. Agnes Hospital, and the staff at Hospice Home of Hope.
