Sandra Swayze

With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of Sandra Lynn Swayze, lovingly known as Sandy, on September 22, 2025. Born on October 1, 1961, in Tacoma, Washington Sandy lived a life filled with a rare blend of selflessness, strength, and a quick wit that could lighten even the darkest of moments. She met every challenge with grace and humor, and she truly lived a life that touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Sandy was an empathetic soul, her heart always open to others' feelings and struggles. An avid lover of coloring, music, horses, the Seahawks, and sharing a cup of coffee with friends, she found joy in life's simplest pleasures.
Sandra is survived by her children, Patrick Stacy, Cindell Stacy, and Rebecca Stacy, and her siblings Glenn Swayze, Sharon Prichard, and Kristen Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Swayze Jr. and Marliss Swayze. Her spirit, strength, and love live on in those who knew her. We are deeply grateful to the compassionate hands and hearts who cared for Sandy-those who tended not only to her physical needs, but to her spirit, with gentleness and grace.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 31, 2025, at 2:00 PM PDT at the Haven of Rest Funeral Home, located at 8503 Washington 16, Gig Harbor, Washington, 98332. We invite all those whose lives were touched by Sandra to join us in celebrating her life and sharing memories of her.
