Sandra Lynn Talbot passed away peacefully with her two loving sons at her side, on Monday September 15, 2025, at the age of 80. Sandy is preceded in death by her husband Joseph "Ned" Talbot, and her parents, Per and Blanche Johansson. Left to cherish her memory are her sons Brian Talbot and wife Linda, and Kevin Talbot and wife Katie Sexe of Minnesota; her brother Carl Johannson and wife Michele; her sister Pamela Culver and husband Bill; grandchildren Kendall Talbot, Emerson Mitchell and husband Derek, Austin Talbot, Charlotte Talbot, Bayne Talbot; and a host of other family and friends.

Sandy was born on Long Island, NY, and attended Syosset High School, where she met the love of her life, Ned. Following high school, she began her career as an executive secretary for Grumman in Bethpage. Soon after, she married Ned and followed him in 1966 on his journey with the U.S. Army. While stationed in Fort Hood, TX, in 1968 she welcomed her first son Brian, and then moved back to Long Island with Ned after his honorable discharge. There she transitioned from military wife to home maker and caretaker for her family. She welcomed her second son Kevin in 1971. In 1976, she moved with her family back to Texas in search of more advantage and opportunity. Settling in Wichita Falls, she eventually re entered the work force as a legal secretary for attorneys Bob Stuart and Paul Brunette, and later Cletus and Cyndi Schenk. In 2001, Sandy and Ned relocated to Pearland, TX, to be closer to their new grandchildren, son Brian, and daughter-in-law Linda. As she refined her role as Grandma and advanced her superior shopping skills, she continued her profession as legal assistant at Callaway and Associates until her retirement. In later years, she enjoyed traveling with Ned to Minnesota, Europe, Alaska, the Caribbean, and Central America with family and long-term friends from Wichita Falls. She eventually returned to full-time home maker and caretaker for Ned as he battled the final years of Lewy Body dementia, and then to patient as she struggled with her own declining health.

Sandy's family would like to thank the many home care attendants and health professionals who helped and cared for Sandy during the last few years of her life.

In lieu of flowers, Sandy's family asks that you consider making a donation in her memory to the Sjögren's Foundation or the Annual Fund | Houston Botanic Garden.
