Sandra “Sandy” Kay Teaff, age 76, Tahoka, TX, was received by her Lord and Savior on November 18, 2023.
Born in Brownfield, Texas, Sandra was preceded in death by her much-loved parents, Verna V. Williams Randall and Horace Wilburn “Slim” Randall, and her brother Royce Randall, of Plains, Texas.
In 1965, Sandra began her life-long career in the telephone industry, where she worked for Romain Telephone until 1967. That year, she also married Wallace David Teaff, Jr., and this union was blessed with a son and a daughter.
In 1970, she was employed by Poka Lambro Telephone Cooperative, Inc., where she worked for 40 years, starting as Customer Service Supervisor and retiring in December of 2010 as Director of Data Processing and Billing.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Wallace David “Trey” Teaff, III (Stacey) of Quitman, TX; her daughter, Michelle Dawn Teaff Flanagan Holly Lake, TX; her sister, Nell Randall Powell (Wayland), of Big Spring, TX; and her brother Gerry Randall (Frida) of Lubbock, TX. She is also survived by her adored granddaughters Kelsey Vasquez and Delaney Flanagan, her cherished grandsons Rowdy Teaff (Brianna), and Riley Flanagan, and great grandchildren Aiden, Dominic and Aaliyah, as well as six nephews, one niece, and many great nieces and nephews.
Sandra loved the Lord and her church family and was an active and devoted member of First Baptist Church of Tahoka until illness prevented it. Sandra wholeheartedly believed in and practiced a faithful prayer life. She was also privileged to experience a life-changing sacramental ritual and study, “The Walk to Emmaus,” which empowers people to be the hands and feet of Christ. She will be best remembered for her generosity of both her time and resources in the care of others. She was an apt student and faithful servant.
A memorial service, officiated by Bill Fuller, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at First Baptist Church, in Tahoka, TX. Visitation for family and friends is set for 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church. Interment will be at Nevel's Cemetery, immediately following the service.
The family wishes to thank Sandra’s many caregivers at Lynnwood Assisted Living, for their abundant kindnesses and their compassionate and loving care during her extended illness. In the generous spirit of Sandra, in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your own favorite charity.
