Sandra Jo Thompson, born on April 5, 1959, in Port Huron, Michigan, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2025, in Zephyrhills at the age of 66.
Sandra was known for her fiery spirit and straightforward nature. She was blatantly honest and loved her family with all her heart. Her candid personality and loving demeanor left an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Throughout her career, Sandra worked as an administrative assistant and accountant at Saddlebrook Resort, where she was cherished by colleagues for her dedication and attention to detail.
She found joy in life's simple pleasures, including evenings spent at casinos, cheering on her favorite NASCAR drivers, and immersing herself in classic rock music. Nothing brought her more happiness than watching her grandchildren excel in sports, or enjoying a lively game night with her family, where she was especially fond of playing Yahtzee.
Sandra was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 47 years, John W. Thompson, in 2024. She leaves behind a loving family, including her son, Richard Thompson and his wife Alicia; her daughter, Kari Woolfolk and her husband Rocky; and her treasured grandchildren-Noah, Kali, Laila, Kaylie, Matthew, Chloe, and Paisley. Sandra also leaves behind her adored granddog, Lucy, who held a special place in her heart.
In accordance with Sandra's wishes, there will be no public services. Her family honors her memory by celebrating the love, laughter, and countless cherished moments she shared with them.
Sandra Jo Thompson will be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, whose love and straightforward candidness will be forever missed. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Sandra, please visit our Tree Store.
