Robert "Bob" Winchell, Jr., of Wesley Chapel, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2025, at the age of 66. Born on December 12, 1958, in Newburgh, New York, he was the cherished son of the late Robert and Mabel (Lewis) Winchell.
Bob led a life marked by dedication and hard work. He devoted many years to his career as a UPS driver before retiring. His entrepreneurial spirit then led him to own and operate a diner in New York, where he shared his love of cooking with others. In his later years, Bob continued to apply his skills through construction work, demonstrating his unwavering work ethic and passion for building and creating.
Outside of his professional life, Bob found joy in simple pleasures. A talented cook, he delighted in preparing meals for family and friends. He was an avid fan of the New York Giants and often spent Sundays cheering them on. Bob enjoyed working around the house and tinkering with cars, always eager to lend a helping hand to his daughter, Jennifer at her home. Above all, he cherished spending time with his grandson, Gabriel, who brought immense joy to his life.
Bob is preceded in death by his loving parents and his beloved dog, Pookie. He is survived by his devoted wife of almost 39 years, Monica; his daughter, Jennifer Winchell; and his treasured grandson, Gabriel. He also leaves behind his brothers, George Cornell and Greg Winchell, and sisters, Michele Callahan and Denise Totman. His faithful canine companions, Eli, Casper, Max, and Dean, will miss him dearly.
A visitation will be held on Friday, October 17, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at Coastal Cremations & Funeral Care, located at 38333 5th Ave., Zephyrhills, Florida 33542. A service will take place during the visitation to honor and celebrate Bob's life.
Bob will be remembered for his kindness, his warmth, and his unwavering devotion to his family and friends. He touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Robert, please visit our floral store.
