Sandra Isabelle Vadovic Cranshaw

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Sandra Cranshaw on July 11, 2025, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 76. Sandra, or simply Sandy as most knew her, was an incredible woman with a large heart and even larger laugh. A devoted wife of 38 years and mother, she was the kind of woman who greeted everyone with a smile and lit up every room she walked into, with her gorgeous jewelry, always perfectly manicured nails, and incredible handbags.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Donald Cranshaw, and her devoted daughter, Chelsea Cranshaw.

She is also survived by her niece Jennifer Bergman, Richard Goodman + family, and other loving relatives located in Michigan.

She is predeceased in death by her loving parents, her mother Isabelle Vadovic, her father, Joseph Vadovic, her brother Jerry Vadovic, her aunt Adelle Taub, and other loving family members.

Born in Detroit, Michigan, she moved to Florida and pursued her passion of teaching, where she was an educator in the Broward County School System for over 35 years. She taught many students throughout her long career and was considered one of the most "popular" at her schools, starting at New River Middle School, then heading to Plantation Middle School, and ending her career at Hallandale High School.

The highlight of her career was starting an intercounty program as the first Reading Coach, where she worked with various schools in the county to create strategies to best assist all students within the country. Her touch and love of reading, as well as education, benefited people she never even met.

She was also an incredible artist. She created hundreds of paintings throughout her life, giving them away to friends and family to help create a little bit of joy on whomever she touched. She was also an avid lover of theater and had season tickets to multiple theaters throughout her life. She also instilled the love of theater into her daughter, who majored in theater in college.

Sandra's laughter, love, artistry, and sense of humor will continue in the hearts of all who knew her.

She will always be with those who knew her, especially her husband and daughter, like a handprint on their heart.

An educator to the end, in lieu of flowers, her wish was for all of her friends and family to continue her passion of teaching and reading and in her name to purchase children's books and donate them to a local school or places in need.
