Sandra Vossen

Sandra (Kuster) Vossen passed away peacefully at her home on January 2, 2022, after a hard-fought battle with cancer.
Sandy was born on December 7, 1942 in St. Louis to Francis and Lucy Ford. She worked at Foremost Dairy and Columbo Yogurt most of her career and retired as Human Resources Manager at AC Buckhorn in 2009. She enjoyed living at the lake, reading, golfing, traveling, and spending time with her family.
Sandy is survived by her devoted husband, Larry. They attended Linn High School, and started dating after reconnecting while attending her 50-year high school reunion. They were married in Linn, Mo. at St. George Catholic Church, July 11, 2009, and then moved to Sunrise Beach. Larry took wonderful care of her, and they both loved each other deeply.
Sandy is also survived by her four daughters and their husbands, Sherri and Randy Murdaugh, Sheila and John Hyman, Sara and Darrell Johnson, and Kim and Tim Bade; sister and best friend Joyce Simmons and husband John; brother Anthony Ford and wife Beth; Larry's children and their spouses, Connie and Mike Cook, Cathy Ganahl, Steven and Stacy Vossen, and Michael and Amber Vossen. She was "Nana" to 19 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Jim, Robert, and Gwendolyn Ford.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 6th, at the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Laurie. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Thursday, at the church. Graveside services and interment will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 7th, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Springfield, Missouri.
