Sandra Ann Weaver (nee Ford) peacefully passed away at the age of 61 after having piously received the Sacraments of the Church at her home in Willoughby, on Memorial Day, May 27. Surrounded by the consolation and prayerful support of her family and friends, she rendered her soul to God after a heroic struggle with cancer.
Born on October 7, 1962, in Cleveland, Ohio, "Sandy" and her family moved to Eastlake, Ohio in 1970, where she graduated from Eastlake North High School in 1980. She attended Lakeland Community College and worked in early childhood education and later as a teller for Mentor Savings Bank as well as a teller and front desk personality for Society National Bank. Sandy also worked part-time at the Mentor Heisley Racquet Club where, in 1986, she met her husband, Tim. The two were soon engaged, and the couple received the Sacrament of Marriage on October 3, 1987, at St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Mentor. Tim and Sandy soon began their family together and were blessed with six children and thirteen grandchildren, to whom she would dedicate and devote the rest of her life on earth.
Mrs. Weaver, as she liked to be called, is survived by her mother and step-father, Phyllis J. and Jack L. Summers; her sister, Victoria J. (Bill) McGee; her brother, John W. Ford; her nephew, Richard A. (Lindsey) Ford; her grand-niece, Layla R. Ford; and her husband of 36 years, Timothy M. Weaver; and their children: Reverend Canon Matthew M. Weaver (ICKSP), Anthony J. (Taime) Weaver, Mary C. (Mark) Willard, Sarah E. (Joseph) McGervey, John P. Weaver, and Luke M. Weaver; and grandchildren: Scarlett, Willamina, Tadhg, James, Anastasia, Helen, Shannon, Brigid, Vincent, Jana, Ciarán, Philippa, and Marigold.
She is preceded in death by her father, Richard A. Ford.
A Solemn Requiem Mass for the repose of her soul will be offered at the Shrine of St. Elizabeth of Hungary, 9016 Buckeye Rd. in Cleveland on June 5, at 11:00 a.m., with burial to follow at Mentor Municipal Cemetery, on Hopkins Rd. in Mentor, Ohio. The family will also receive friends from 2 to 8 p.m. on June 4, at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, located at 6330 Center St. Rt. 615, N. of Rt. 2), in Mentor, Ohio.

When my son was having a spine surgery that was quite a extensive surgery sandy said remember this we all have our crosses to bare except them and ask God to take control and you will get through but it you fight the cross will just become heavier and harder. I always used this to help myself and others to get through tough times. Sandy always had a smile and kind words whenever she´d come to see me at HEINEN´S. My condolences to your family.
