Karen Margaret Cannon, age 72, of Concord, Ohio departed this life at her home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, October 5th, 2025 after a courageous battle with colon cancer.
A graduate of Ursuline High School in 1970 and later from Point Park University and Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in 2001 where she followed her childhood dreams to become a funeral director and embalmer.
A loving mother to Patricia M. (Dominick) Jannetti and beloved sister to Madonna T. (John) Chesney. Treasured by her many nieces and nephews and adored by her 15 great nieces and nephews.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio on October 25th, 1952, she is preceded in death by her parents, George J. and Madonna M. (Pell) and her brothers Martin G. (Loretta) and Terrance P.
Through her cancer journey, she taught those around her what it looks like to live bravely, wear a smile, to find joy, and to laugh as often as possible. She was known for her quick Irish wit, sense of humor, generosity, kindness and love. Karen will forever be a bright, guiding light to her family and loved ones.
In keeping with her wishes, a funeral mass for family and friends will be held at 11 am on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 9925 Johnnycake Ridge Road, Concord, Ohio 44077. "And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of his hand."
