Greenwood, DE. Geraldine (Gerry) Theresa Cannon of Greenwood, died at the Country Rest Home, Greenwood on Thursday, October 9, 2025. She was 99.
Born in Bridgeville DE. on September 5, 1926 she was the daughter of the late John B. and Mary Mireider Fiori. Gerry attended and graduated from Bridgeville High School as Salutatorian in 1944. She worked at various places until 1946 when she married Alfred (Tyson) Cannon. They made their home in Greenwood where they raised their family.
Gerry had many activities to keep her busy, a member of the Ladies of the Moose (Harrington Lodge), Greenwood VFW Auxiliary, delivered Meals on Wheels in Greenwood, the Bazar committee for Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Seaford, DE. She loved to bake and was known for her famous pie's; She was also an avid gardener and was known for her beautiful Iris's. Gerry also collected depression glass and had a wonderful collection that her family still keeps today.
Gerry is survived by her children; Larry Cannon (Vicki) of Greenwood, Bob Cannon (Pam) of Bridgeville, and David Cannon (Cathy) of Lewes. 5 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband of 58 years she was preceded in death by her 3 brothers; Arthur, William, and Edward Fiori and one Granddaughter Lori Nicole Cannon.
A funeral service will be held at the Framptom Funeral Home Fleischauer Chapel, Greenwood on Friday October 17, 2025 at 1:00PM where a viewing will be held from noon until 1:00.
Burial will be in St. Johnstown Cemetery, Greenwood
