Sue Weever, 85, of Glen Rose, Texas, went to be with her Savior on Feb. 2, 2026. She was born Sept. 26, 1940, in Jacksonville, Illinois, to Howard C. Fairfield and Lela Fairfield.

Sue earned a Master's degree in Social Work from Southern Illinois University, where she met her husband of more than 60 years, John S. Weever Jr. Together, they built a home along the Brazos River in Glen Rose and shared a life of love, service, and devotion to family and faith. Sue cherished reading her Bible, prayer, and sharing God's love with those around her.

She enjoyed traveling, cooking, gardening, music-including Flamenco and Elvis-and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents, Howard C. and Lela Fairfield; and her sister, Anita Moody.

Sue is survived by her brother, William (Amy) Fairfield; children Lesly Spencer (Tom), Todd Weever (Jennifer), and Grant Weever (Stacie); four grandchildren Tanner, Cameron, Caleb and Sevin;; and three great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Feb. 21 at Wiley Funeral Home Chapel, 504 Holden St., Glen Rose.

Burial will follow at Ward Branch Cemetery, Glen Rose, Texas.
