Sandra Annette Bright Comer, 74, of Asheboro, passed away Friday, December 26, 2025 at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro.
Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 p.,m., Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Central Falls Baptist Church, where she was a member, with Pastor Gerald Hussey officiating.
Born on March 5, 1951, in Blacksburg, SC, Sandy was the daughter of the late Clyde and Lucille Byers Bright. She had retired as a correctional officer from the NC Juvenile Justice Department.
In addition to her parents, Sandy was preceded in death by her sister, Gloria Bruce, and her brother, Ken Bright.
Survivors include her husband, Paul Comer of the home; son, David Voncannon of Blacksburg, SC; sister, Angel Hannon (Herb) of Little River, SC; brothers, Larry Bright (Vicky), Ronnie Bright, Rodney Bright, all of Blacksburg, SC, Danny Bright of SC; grandchildren, Devon H. Hill (Josh) of Asheboro, Jake Voncannon of Gastonia, NC; great grandchildren, Luke Hill and Avery Hill.
The family will receive friends following the memorial service at the church.
