Sandra Kay Eberle, 57, of Holgate, Ohio passed away at her home on Tuesday, January 18, 2022. She was born in Napoleon, Ohio on December 21, 1964, to Wilbur and Irene (Rohrs) Joost. Sandy was a 1983 graduate of Napoleon High School. On July 1, 1995, she married Timothy Eberle at St. John Lutheran Church, Freedom Township, where she was baptized and confirmed. She was a longtime employee of Henry County, working in her office behind the scenes.
Sandy was the beloved aunt of a nephew and many nieces. Her greatest treasure was being surrounded by her family and friends. Sandy was known for her beautiful handmade cards, and she never missed sending a birthday card. She enjoyed baking and everyone loved her chocolate chip cookies and scotcheroos. When she wasn't driving the combine and helping on the family farm, Sandy enjoyed cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes.
She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Tim; brother, Randy (Rachel) Joost; sisters, Renee (Tim) Hodson and Donna Joost; brother-in-law, John Eberle; sisters-in-law, Becky Hurst and Bonnie (Bill) Imbrock; nieces, Melanie (Trevor) Rubin, Kacie Hodson, Le Ann Joost, Jen (Joe) Allen, Renee (Tim) Black, Nicole Hurst, Alison Imbrock; and nephew, Brad Hurst. She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Roger Hurst; and sister-in-law, Elizabeth Eberle.
Friends and family will be received at the Rodenberger-Gray Funeral Home, Napoleon, on Friday, January 21, 2022, from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at St. John United Church of Christ, Holgate on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 11:00 AM with an hour of visitation prior to services. Interment will take place in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John United Church of Christ, the Monroe Township Fire Department, or a charity of your choice.
