Sandy Goddard Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory - Owensboro on Dec. 27, 2025.
Sandra L. Rogers Goddard, 80, of Owensboro, passed away December 25, 2025 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Sandy was born February 14, 1945 in Daviess County to the late Otis and Louise Rogers.
She was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church and had been a Sunday School teacher at Bellevue Baptist Church for many years. She never met a stranger and was a one-of-a-kind person who always had a smile on her face. Her life's work was spent caring for children in her home, working at Newton Parrish Elementary School in the after-school program and in daycares. Sandy's faith and her family were the two most important things in her life.
In addition to her parents, Sandy was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Moore Goddard on August 26, 2006.
Survivors include two sons, Jeff Goddard and Jason Goddard (Stacy); a daughter, Julee Goddard; seven grandchildren, Chris Goddard (Kasey), Kensley Thomas (Jordan), Ben Goddard (Maicy), Wesley, Jackson, and Keaton Goddard, and Kylee Dowdy; ten great-grandchildren plus one on the way; siblings, Jan Bratcher (Doug), Vicki Morris, and Mona Smith (David); several nieces and nephews; and a "daughter-in-love", Sabrina Sumner.
Services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at James H Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow at Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be on Friday from 2:00pm until 6:00pm and on Saturday after 9:00am until the time of the service at 11:00am at the funeral home.
