Santiago Balderrama Armendariz, un hombre de familia, recibio el llamado del señor el 29 de Agosto a la edad de 96 años. Nacio en Chihuahua, Mexico el 18 de Septiembre de 1928. Hijo de Merced Balderrama y Eufracia Armendariz. Contrajo matrimonio con Rosaura Montes + el 27 de Septiembre de 1952 en Chihuahua, Mexico.
El Sr. Balderrama Armendariz atendio la escuela en Mexico. De joven trabajo en una fabrica de textiles. Nacido y Criado en Chihuahua Mexico. Llego a Garden City Kansas en 1997, se dedico a su esposa a la familia y disfruto ver crecer a sus nietos y bisnietos. Algunos de sus pasatiempos favoritos, jardineria, labores de la casa y crusigramas. Miembro de la Iglesia Santa Maria. Un narrador de sus historias y experiencias de vida. Un hombre con conocimientos en labores generales.
Sobreviven sus hijos: Bruno A. Balderrama (Rosita), Bertha E. Prieto (Leobardo), Josefina Prieto (Jose V), Rosa E. Ferrel (Rigoberto), Hector M. Balderrama, Bernardo Balderrma (Martha), Maria Del Rosario Arreola (Alfonso), Luis R Balderrama, 18 nietos y 27 bisnietos. Le precedieron sus padres, esposa, hermanos y nieto.
Los servicios funerales se llevaran acabo a partir de las 12:00 pm a las 5:00 pm el Martes 2 de Septiembre del 2025 En Garland Funeral Home, seguido de un Rosario a las 7:30pm en la Iglesia Catolica Santa Maria. La misa del funeral se celebrara a las 10:00 am el Miercoles 3 de Septiembre de 2025 en la Iglesia Santa Maria. El entierro se realizara posteriormente en Valley View Cemetery. Santiago Balderrama Armendariz, a family man, received the call of the Lord on August 29 at the age of 96. He was born in Chihuahua, Mexico, on September 18, 1928, the son of the late Merced Balderrama and Eufracia Armendariz. He married Rosaura Montes † on September 27, 1952, in Chihuahua, Mexico.
Mr. Balderrama Armendariz attended school in Mexico. As a young man, he worked in a textile factory. Born and raised in Chihuahua, Mexico, he came to Garden City, Kansas, in 1997. He dedicated himself to his wife and family and enjoyed watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow. Some of his favorite pastimes included gardening, home projects, and crossword puzzles. He was a member of St. Mary's Church, a storyteller of his life and experiences, and a man with knowledge in general trades.
He is survived by his children: Bruno A. Balderrama (Rosita), Bertha E. Prieto (Leobardo), Josefina Prieto (Jose V.), Rosa E. Ferrel (Rigoberto), Hector M. Balderrama, Bernardo Balderrama (Martha), Maria Del Rosario Arreola (Alfonso), Luis R. Balderrama; 18 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, siblings, and one grandson.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at Garnand Funeral Home, followed by a Rosary at 7:30 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at St. Mary's Church. Interment will follow at Valley View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the Santiago Balderrama Armendariz Memorial Fund in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 412 N 7th Street, Garden City KS 67846. 620-276-3219
