Santiago's love for the Oakland Raiders began in 1965, when he first became a proud season ticket holder. He maintained his season ticket seats until they moved to Las Vegas in 2020. Santiago was honored as a charter member of the Oakland Raiders Hall of Fame from 1996-2005.

My condolences to the Flores family. I've known Jim since 1971.
His son Mike was my best friend in elementary school.
My family was very poor and we were raised by a single mother with four kids and we had very little.
This man was like a father to me!
He took me to my first football game, Oakland Raiders of course!
My first baseball game Oakland A's of course, and that was just a small fraction of things he did for me. The entire floor is family took me in as one of their own.
His kids Mike and Rachel were a brother and sister to me.
I ate more meals at their house than I did my own. I spent the night every weekend at their house and every weekday after school. On the weekends we would go with him to watch his band play at local venues such as the Grange Hall. It was the best of times, and I just wanted to say how much it meant to me.
I also just wanted to say how much I loved him and wanted to thank him for all he did for me.

His second Son,
(Kent) Sam Vineyard
Fairfield CA.

I knew him as Uncle Jim. He was very good friends with my father. He was also very instrumental in helping me get help for my drinking problem. As a result I have new sober for 33 years.
I loved him and I will miss him.
