Sara Calcinore Obituary
Sara K. Calcinore, 97, Royersford
Sara Calcinore, 97, widow of the late John Calcinore, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2023 in Phoenixville Hospital.
Sara was born July 21, 1925 in Oley, PA to the late John Glanski Sr. and the late Bertha (Mauger) Glanski. She grew up swimming in the Schuylkill River, roller skating, and ice skating with her siblings. A long time Royersford resident, Sara enjoyed teaching her nieces, nephews, and grandchildren bicycle riding, swimming, baseball, fishing, sewing, and crafts. Sara was all about the kids.
She loved trips to the casino with her girlfriends, and the Phillies and Eagles. She was an accomplished self-taught artist, often teaching art classes in her home. She was also a seamstress and had great culinary skills in the kitchen.
Beloved Mommom and mother, Sara leaves behind her children: Reggie Calcinore Lorenzo (Richard), Daughter in Law, Nivla, wife to the late Chip Calcinore, and Rob Calcinore; four grandchildren: Chris Hipszer, Sara, Ali, and Trey Calcinore, along with two great grandchildren. Preceded her in death were her siblings: John Glanski Jr. (Carol) and Gladys Glanski Dames (Edward).
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday March 3, 2023 in Shalkop, Grace & Strunk Funeral Home, 135 Bridge Street, Spring City, PA.
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Friday, March 3, prior to the service at Shalkop Grace & Strunk Funeral Home.
Burial will be immediately following at the Limerick Garden of Memories. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be mailed to: Montgomery County SPCA, 1059 Sweisford Road, Perkiomenville, PA 18074.
Online condolences and a link for memorial donations can be made at www.sgsfuneralhome.com. All arrangements are being handled by Shalkop, Grace & Strunk Funeral Home, Inc Spring City, PA.
