Sara M. DeGreef, age 32 of Crooked Lake, passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 16, 2025. Sara was born on August 27, 1992 to Larry and Mary (Stein) DeGreef in Green Bay. She attended the Denmark School District before the family moved to Crooked Lake. Sara then graduated from Suring High School. She enjoyed going out to eat, watching games shows, reading the Chicken Soup books, and playing games on her iPhone. Throughout her life, Sara struggled with many health issues due to Spina Bifida; now her suffering is over.
Sara is survived by her mother, Mary; brother, Duane DeGreef; nephew, Trevor DeGreef; aunts and uncles, Tom and Sandy Stein, Mike and Cheryl Stein, Frank and Tina Stein; uncle and godfather, Bob Stein; beloved dog, Muffin. She is further survived by many cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Larry; grandparents, Helen and Melvin Stein.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025 at St. Mary's Crooked Lake Chapel from 10 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am with Father Praveen Pamisetti officiating. Sara will be interred at Saints Cyril and Methodius Catholic Cemetery. Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in Suring is assisting the family with arrangements. Dear Mary, Larry and I were saddened to hear of the passing of Sara. We always enjoyed seeing her at Church on Sunday. She is in a better place now and her suffering is over. We are sorry, we couldn“t attend the services.
